Why we built Optivian
Born from scaling three SaaS companies and learning the hard way
We built Optivian to solve a problem we lived firsthand. Our founding team previously founded and scaled three SaaS companies (Smarp, Haiilo, and Feedtrail) focused on complex multi-stakeholder deals to enterprise customers like Google, Amazon, Salesforce, PwC, L'Oréal, and Coca-Cola.
Across all three companies, we consistently saw the same pattern: the top 20% of reps brought in 80% of the revenue. We tried everything to close the gap: enablement programs, training, new tools. None of it moved the needle.
Then we understood why. Reps were drowning in dozens of tools causing constant context switching. When we tried to understand why deals were won or lost, it took hours of reviewing call recordings, emails, and CRM notes. That was just to identify the issues. Fixing them required even more manual work.
We realized AI could do both: identify the patterns and automate the work. Not another tool for reps to manage, but digital labor that works alongside them. That's why we built Optivian.
